Lord Shiva is one of the three supreme deities of the Trimurti and the consort of Umadevi. In Hindu tradition, he is associated with destruction and transformation. In this context, destruction does not refer to total ruin, but to the removal of what is harmful or no longer needed to allow renewal. Shiva represents the cycle of dissolution and regeneration within the universe.
You may notice the third eye on his forehead. According to legend, when opened, it releases a powerful fire capable of destroying evil and restoring cosmic balance. Symbolically, the third eye represents insight, awareness, and transformative power.
