Along the watershed forest of the Banthat Mountain Range, Ban Lam Khanun is a small agricultural community that represents the true southern way of life. Today it is preserved through the introduction of new creative developments in tourism that invite travelers to learn more about southern culture. Whether it is Nora or shadow puppets, they can be seen here, as part of the normal way of life at Ban Lam Khanun.

DAY 1

08.30 Arrive at Trang Airport

10.00 Arrive at Ban Lam Khanun Community

12.00 Have a local lunch prepared by a community chef

13.30 In the afternoon, get to know Norabic exercises and join a bamboo copter “luk whiz” folk toy workshop

17.00 Have a traditional dinner and rest at the homestay

DAY 2

09.00 Study nature and learn about sufficiency agriculture; go kayaking on the Phikun River and then check out the crop rotation method, beekeeping, and the origins of Sri Thong Dam lemons

12.00 Have lunch

14.00 Visit Khao Chang Hai Cave to see stalactites and stalagmites

17.00 Have dinner at Ruan Sumalee and check in at Kiang Khuan Resort

DAY 3

09.30 Visit Wat Phu Khao Thong to see the reclining Buddha image built in the Sriwichai period

11.00 Say goodbye to Trang with a frog-headed tuk tuk tour and wander around Trang; stop to buy souvenirs like Trang roasted pork at Trang Moo Yang Restaurant and check in at the clock tower in the old city

15.00 Travel back safely
