What is TAGTHAi Easy Pay?

TAGTHAi Easy Pay is a digital payment feature within the TAGTHAi app, designed to help international visitors enjoy a more convenient payment experience in Thailand.

Since its launch in 2025, travelers have needed to register for a prepaid card before using TAGTHAi Easy Pay. Starting in August 2026, TAGTHAi Easy Pay will introduce a simpler payment experience that no longer requires a physical prepaid card. This new update makes it even easier for tourists to enjoy secure, cashless payments while traveling throughout Thailand.

Level Up Your Cashless Experience 

TAGTHAi Easy Pay is a digital payment feature within the TAGTHAi App that enables international visitors to enjoy a more seamless payment experience in Thailand through Thai QR payments (PromptPay).

First launched in March 2025, TAGTHAi Easy Pay initially worked by linking with the KBank PAY&TOUR Prepaid Card, allowing tourists to make secure cashless payments at participating merchants across Thailand.

Starting in August 2026, TAGTHAi Easy Pay introduces a simpler and more convenient experience by removing the requirement for a physical prepaid card. This enhancement streamlines the onboarding process, making it faster and easier for international travellers to get started with digital payments in Thailand.

Once the verification process is complete, travelers can avoid currency exchange issues, get competitive exchange rates, and make secure transactions at any restaurants, shopping malls, street markets, and even transport services. 

Terms and Conditions

• Target: Foreign tourists*
• Age: 20 years and older
• Application format: In-person at KBank FX booth
• Limitation: Limited to one person/e-Wallet
• Required document: Passport
• Required Foreign Currency for E-Wallet Top-Up

Limits

• Transaction size: 100,000 Baht
• Top-up at KBank FX booth: 100,000 Baht/transaction
• Transaction limit/month: 300,000 Baht
• Refund at KBank FX booth: Based on the balance in the e-Wallet
• Withdraw at KBank ATMs : Up to 10,000 Baht/transaction/day
• Cash withdraw at K-ATM is available from 00:30 to 22:00

Payment for goods and services in Thailand

• Payment via EDC at any store accepting VISA card in Thailand - based on the balance available; the amount must not exceed the balance in the e-Wallet
• QR code payment at any bank in Thailand - based on the balance available; the amount must not exceed the balance in the e-Wallet
• Service cancellation: Request total refund and cancel the service at KBank FX booth
• Buyback guarantee with same rate*
• You can get a refund for the remaining balance with the same rate*. Please note that this term is for customers who exchange money in Thai Baht and top-up in PAY&TOUR only. The amount shall not exceed 10% and a refund within 15 days from the first time of Top-up money in PAY&TOUR

Security

Your security is our priority. You can activate or deactivate the card by yourself. In case of a lost or stolen card, you can immediately suspend your card via TAGTHAi.

Validity

The company reserves the right to change any of its benefits, terms and conditions, without prior notice. In the situation of any disputes or disagreements, the company’s decision shall be final.

Payment Methods in Thailand: Which One is Best for Tourists?

Cash

Cash is still useful, especially for small purchases, traditional markets, and some local vendors. Keeping some Thai Baht on hand is recommended, particularly when travelling outside major cities.

International Credit and Debit Cards

Visa and Mastercard are accepted at many hotels, shopping malls, restaurants, and tourist attractions. However, some smaller businesses may only accept QR payments or cash, and international transaction fees may apply depending on your card issuer.

Thai Mobile Banking

Thai banks such as Kasikornbank, Bangkok Bank, Krungthai Bank, and Siam Commercial Bank offer mobile banking apps with PromptPay functionality. These services are generally available to customers with eligible Thai bank accounts.
